Derrick Stellman, Alert
Clallam Bay State Prison, State of Washington

Derrick Stellman, imprisoned at Clallam Bay State Prison in Washington, has only been painting for a few years, but he applies himself to it everyday. "The art was, at first, a hustle — a means to support myself on the inside — but it quickly became much more; and over the years, I've come to see my self as a different person." He has donated art to a local charity that sells it to fund a scholarship program for underprivileged youth.
